His banner is love

I woke the first time early to a song playing…it wasn’t my ipad, it wasn’t the radio, and it wasn’t from outside! Then I realized it was from inside me. :)) It was the Holy Spirit singing, “He brought me to his banqueting table, his banner over me is love.” Kept repeating. Amazing love to have died, rose again, and then come to me and sing to me right in my inner ear. :)) smiling… I think if there is anything that makes Jesus sad…it’s that people don’t really believe he did it for them…he love us!! So don’t worry, be happy now. lol

Jesus came to bring us life and life abundant. Does abundant always mean the heaping upon ourselves materialistic treasures? I think not. In fact spiritual treasures are far more fulfilling. The oldest history book known to mankind says that the fruit of Gods Spirit is : Love, Joy, Peace, Patients, Kindness, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, meekness, temperance. What good would it do if you had all the things money could buy and not these TRUE treasures. Many billionaires have died unhappy!

If we find we struggle to love, if we are not happy, we live in torment, have fear, worry a lot, have no patients for anything, find ourselves harsh and unkind towards others, struggle with believing, and are proud with very little self-control, maybe we better go back to the source of life. Jesus Christ, the one who couldn’t be kept in the grave, can give us all the TRUE treasures if we would just simply receive them from him. If anyone hasn’t believed that Jesus came, died, and rose again, then that same person is still lost in darkness and cannot hope to obtain these treasures.

To inherit His kingdom, one must become an heir. To become a child of God, one must first believe in the heart that Jesus Christ is the only true Son of God, was born among men, lived, died, and rose again to be seated on the eternal Gods right hand. One must also know that we have done wrong to God and others. For salvation to take place, one must realize their condition. The realization that one is not good but evil.

Only God is good! Pride…self-righteousness keeps people from truly coming to Jesus. If we think ourselves pretty good and others worse, then we cannot come to Christ. Only the lowly of heart can come to Jesus. God surely does resist the proud. Don’t be fooled. The Holy Spirit brings conviction by revealing truth. How can we come to Christ if we resist the truth. In other words if the reader doesn’t believe truth when they hear it, then the same is resisting truth and is not ready to come to God.

If one does not come to Christ, then the same will never have the TRUE treasures. But if any of us truly have come to Jesus with our broken hearts, our sorrow because of our ways, our desire to know our creator, then be happy, have faith, receive love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Faith in Jesus and what He came to do, can give us an abundant life indeed. “He brought me to his banqueting table, his banner over me is love” Do you have a song? If not humbly ask for one! He listens… Selah
