A Call For Sexual purity

Do “Christian” women or men enjoy it when the opposite sex hunger for them? I’m talking about men or women other than their spouses?

If a man experiences temptation in the form of attraction for a woman other than his wife because this other woman is wearing revealing clothing, he is chided and rebuked by his wife for staring too long. Does the wife get angry at these other men for staring too long at her if she wears revealing clothing? I dare say, a Godly woman walking in holiness would be grieved and abhorred when another man other than her spouse stares at her with lust in his heart. Though women seem to be more prone to fall into this trap, men also can fall for this snare of the devil in the form of sensual apparel.

Each of us, men or women are accountable before Christ Jesus and must give an account to our Lord and Savior for ourselves. If we are living in union with Christ, we will be mindful of others not just of ourselves. Love while being free, does not self indulge. In other words, Love does not prefer itself and is not self seeking. That said, many who call themselves by His name use grace and freedom as an excuse to self indulge. This grieves my heart as I write this. I’ve been crying out to Father God because something is wrong here. Many people are getting weary of this open attack on public apparel. The latest clothing fads reflect sensuality unchecked!

We live in a society that is breaking down at the core because of sexual impurity. Most Christian people if asked would say the lust of the flesh is damaging to the family unit, yet they support the same corrupt industry of pornography when these same Christian people wear revealing clothing in public. Let’s be completely honest here why would a person wear sensual scant clothing in public? There is only one logical answer here…it’s a deep hunger to be adored, admired, and worshiped even. Both men and women do it. When Christian people enjoy it deep down when the opposite sex hungers for them, other than their spouse, something is terribly wrong!

Sex was created by God for intimacy between two people. One man and one woman who have set themselves apart from all others for exclusive intimacy with each other. To enjoy each other! To enjoy the hunger they see in each other’s eyes. To wear revealing clothing for each other only. When another other than the spouse we are intimate with hungers for us, it should grieve us so badly we never want to cause that hunger in this wrong person again! Sexual hunger is not meant to be stirred up in a public place. Anyone who wears sexually appealing clothing in public is making a public statement. Whether he or she admits it or not, to wear sexually revealing clothing is saying to the opposite sex… I am available! I like it when you stare at me!

This is truth from the living God! If you are offended, it shows where your heart is and reveals a heart that is not fully submitted to Gods purpose and plan for a man and a woman. Love would never cause temptation to sin! If we tempt someone, we are held accountable. Yet when people wear sexually revealing clothing in public, are they not causing someone to stumble? Love is never self seeking! Whoever has an ear to hear, let them hear…
