When payment for debt is complete, the debt is canceled and no more payment is expected. Once the debt is fulfilled, any further payment is rejected. In the world of economics, this is an understood idea and no one would continue to expect further payments. Why then would anyone keep making payments on a canceled or paid debt? Even though this is common sense among society, the senseless act of continuing to attempt to pay a debt that has been paid in full is practiced by many, so called, religious folk on a daily basis.

There is a false gospel that has infiltrated the church and continues to mislead many even today. The hater of everything holy and good continues to lie and deceive the proud and self-efficient masses. Why use words like “the proud?” Because self-effort and self help theology or concepts derive from a soul who really believes it’s ultimately up to them! In other words, the belief that “I” can change my condition or circumstance.

The true condition of fallen mankind is much more bleak and helpless than most are willing to accept or admit! Not one human soul can rescue themselves or save themselves from the great debt each individual owes a Holy and Just God by utterly rejecting His commandments. We are all condemned to punishment. Are not debtors held accountable for what they owe? Whether we believe or not, life originates from a creator we call God. Life is sacred and a precious gift. It is not earned or even self obtained. Not one of us who are living right now exists by our own power or effort and yet we somehow believe it’s up to us to change our condition or circumstance when we finally agree we have disobeyed Gods laws.

The consequences of our sin or disobedience is death! The end result of all evil committed is the forfeit of life. This is the debt we owe if not paid in full. We must pay our debt with our lives. Most societies believe we are spiritual beings and the soul lives on even after physical death. This is truth. We are indeed spiritual and the soul or real us continues to exist even after the body dies.

The true gospel embraces these truths instead of side stepping and ignoring our human condition. Humanity must come to grips with this truth that God is more Just and Righteous than the truest court system mankind can come up with. The Ruler and Supreme Judge in the eternal courts is perfectly right in His judgements. All of us must pay back our debt we owe for our disobedience. Our punishment is eternal damnation where we will continually be punished forever and experience great anger for our betrayal of God’s laws of Holiness and Love.

Hold on… it’s about to get even deeper! There is a satanic lie that has infiltrated the Christian churches today. Are you ready? There are many people today that are not true believers in the church. Satan has deceived many into thinking that they are God’s children when in fact they are not! If any of us have tried to save ourselves by any self-effort at all, because of the fear of damnation to hell when we got convicted of our sins, then our debt remains.

The true gospel is salvation or canceled debt ONLY and exclusively by Christ Jesus’s shed blood when He died in our place thus paying our debt in full! Here it is then! True salvation can only happen when the soul truly realizes their helpless condition and simply comes to God through faith by embracing Jesus (God’s chosen substitute) for his or her forgiveness and cancellation of that incurred debt. Any other means, any other effort apart from simple childlike faith in Christ’s blood is pushing away any forgiveness of debt we owed and ignoring God’s free gift! This error can be very subtle!

When apostle Peter preached this true gospel about humanity’s true condition long ago, it is recorded in history that the people who were listening were struck with fear upon the realization that they were all damned to eternal punishment. They cried out in fear, “brothers what must we do to be saved?” Do you see it? Even then they did not fully understand their condition for they thought they were still in charge, thus misled into the lie they could DO something to change their condition. They said, “what must we DO!” Peter being full of the Spirit’s wisdom simply replied, “believe on Jesus!” Rely only on His Sacred shed blood! In other words, men and women… listen to me! You can DO nothing to help yourselves!

God wants each of us to realize we can DO nothing to save ourselves! When we DO anything, we are demonstrating that we are still in charge. This is pride and no one can come to God in pride. We are utterly helpless and in eternal condemnation and control of demons from hell.

Alright, here is an example of false salvation or conversion:

Suppose this true gospel is preached and the listeners are pricked in their hearts in soul rendering anguish. If they are told or allowed to DO anything other than simply believing, thus relying on Christ’s blood and accomplished work on the cross, then they have been lied to and given another gospel. If an altar call is given and they rush forward without experiencing helplessness and brokenness to merely repeat some words given and then told they are now saved, they are still condemned and have not truly come to Christ! Be warned for this is truth, whether you believe it or not. Many have been deceived! The gospel is a totally free gift from the Father of lights and it is spitting in His face if we DO anything to obtain His salvation by any self-effort on our part. When a person truly is born again, the very heart and desires change! We become a new creature and old ways, disobedience, and willful sin stops ruling our actions. Brokenness is the earmark of true salvation. The flesh will fall occasionally. Jesus and the Father know this about our condition so we are told in Their word that when and if we sin, it’s our job to agree and confess our wrong to Him and He is Just and able to grant renewed forgiveness!! Brothers and sisters, we should not make a practice of sinning. If we live according to the flesh, we will reap death and prove by our deeds(fruit) we haven’t really received His Holy Spirit after all. Be warned!

Footnote: Any person who has tried to save themselves by doing, will be stuck in that pattern all their days until they accept true salvation, and therefore allow brokenness and helplessness to grip their souls. Then they can truly be saved by His loving grace!
